Dr. Marr was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan and in 1968 married his high school sweetheart, Leslie, who worked and furthered her own education while he earned his B.S. (Chem) in 1969 and his D.D.S. in 1973, both at the University of Michigan. In 1977 Dr. Marr opened the doors of his family dental practice on South State Street in St. Joseph. When he's not tending to his patients or attending continuing education courses or taking yet another snapshot of his grandchildren, he enjoys taking and printing fine art photographs, many of which have appeared in galleries and art shows in Michigan and Illinois. His other enthusiasms include reading, miniature woodcarving, drumming, singing, guitar playing, rockhounding and impromptu road trips with Leslie, Sammie (their dog), cooler and minivan. Dr. Marr is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Lakeland Valley Dental Society.
Lynn's career as a registered dental hygienist began in 1974 where she earned her RDH degree from the University of Michigan. Since that time she has gained experience working in both general and periodontal dental offices. At one time Lynn worked in a dental office where she was responsible for the front desk, back office and also did dental hygiene! Lynn was born in Saginaw, spent a couple of her toddler years in France, moved to Alpena, Southgate (downriver Detroit) and then to the St. Joseph area. She has one daughter, Samantha Ann, who earned her Masters in Administration degree in 2006 and is currently a Kindergarten teacher at the Millburg School (which is a part of Countryside Academy). Lynn's hobbies include gardening and floral arranging, so you may find her creating special items to enhance her home decor. "I enjoy working in the dental office because I love helping people and getting to know them well and just having a great time."
Lorri is our office manager here at Family Circle Dentistry. She has been married to her loving husband Andy for eleven years. They renewed their vows on January 25, 2005 in Oahu, Hawaii. She has three children, a stepdaughter Dawn who travels the world teaching, a 13 year old laid back cat named Tigger, and a four month old kitten named Uno who terrorizes the house. Her hobbies include reading and camping but she especially loves watching Lifetime Channel. Lori says the thing she likes most about working here is "helping patients and also how well I get along with my co-workers."
Leslie was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan. Her dental experience goes back to when her husband, Gregg, started dental school in 1969. She graduated with a B.S. in Social Science from Eastern Michigan University in 1973, and in the same year was awarded a PHT (Pushing Husband Through) degree from University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Their son, Jeremy works for the media. Jeremy and his wife, Amy, expanded the Marr family circle with granddaughter Gwendolyn in 2002, grandson Rohan in 2003 and granddaughter Maggie in 2005. Leslie enjoys grandmothering, video production, road trips, reading, and working with stained glass. Her latest hobby is photography. You can see her work here.
